Decision brief
Worldmonitor provides a comprehensive real-time intelligence dashboard covering global news, geopolitics, and infrastructure with AI-powered monitoring.
Good fit when
- - You require real-time, unified situational awareness across multiple domains such as geopolitics and infrastructure tracking.
- - Your analysis or research needs are focused on understanding global developments in near-real time.
Avoid when
- - If your project or organization insists on proprietary licensing, as Worldmonitor operates under an AGPL-3.0 license, requiring source code transparency and sharing.
- - You do not need real-time data updates or can be satisfied with less comprehensive aggregation of geopolitical and infrastructure information.
- Pricing:
- freemium - Open-source (AGPL-3.0-only) for free with self-hosting, commercial licensing required for private-source use.
- Requirements:
- Min 4 GB RAM; Requires Docker; - Features like news aggregation and infrastructure tracking may require additional credentials.; - You need to set up a development environment with TypeScript and NPM, and configure `.env` files based on your use case.
